Beach trip

The first week of June we packed up our little family and headed to the beach with our grandparents and the Lucas clan.  This was year 2 of doing this trip together and it truly is so much fun.  The cousins are all so close in age so the 6 of them play so well together and really enjoy each others company.  The adults are all exhausted by the end of the trip and need a trip just to feel refreshed but there is truly nothing like family.

I felt like I packed our entire house up in our van...always prepared! The first night we got there we had to celebrate 2 very special people...daddy and Aunt Anne!
The party hats were a big hit all week.
We spent a lot of time at the beach and a lot of time at the pool. The kids loved both about the same.
This little one LOVED the beach and the sand. So thankful that she didn't dislike the sand.
She also loved flying the kite.
Granddad read lots of books and took the kids on lots of morning exploration walks.
Our condo was on the first floor overlooking the ocean with a grassy area that we could play games and let the kids run. It was perfect!

Dinner Out for the Fund - Lost Pizza

Tomorrow...make plans to enjoy pizza while giving back to the Forrest Spence Fund at the same time.  Lunch and dinner!

5.  Having 3 kids so close in age is hard but I truly wouldn't change it because the relationship that is building between all 3 of them is beautiful. (Austin didn't want his picture taken).

It's that time of year...

Time to sign up for the best 5k in town!  If you live in the Memphis area than make plans to attend on August 23rd at Overton Park.  If you can't make it than you can register as a ghost runner and receive a great shirt in the mail (if you live outside of Shelby County) or pick it up at Fleet Feet in Memphis.

Miller's last day

To say we have LOVED Miller's school would be an understatement.  It truly is the most wonderful place for children to learn, be nurtured, loved and cared for.  The teachers are remarkable and angels here on Earth to love on children.  I am amazed by them everytime I come in contact with them.  Miller has been at this school for 2 years and I have seen him grow in so many ways...academically...socially ...confidence...security...personality...it has been such a joy to watch.  We were sad to say goodbye but it's time for him to join his big brother at his school.

The assistant...Ms. Cala.  She is moving to Chicago so I am sad that Maggie won't have her when she turns 3.

They gave Miller a book and each signed it.  Such a treasure for him to keep.
