Comfort and Joy

I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will
give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

Random pictures

I have so much to catch up on that it's a little overwhelming.  I thought I would start with some random pictures of life lately.

My 10 month old is now standing on her own.  She is getting too big too fast.
My little garden gnome is standing on her own. #ohmy
Austin played his last soccer game this season. Sad to not have Friday night games anymore. I really enjoyed seeing my friends each week. Untitled Untitled Untitled
We put the 3 kids together in our big tub. They all loved it! It was too much for me to handle on my own because those 2 boys are crazy wild and she wants to keep standing but its fun to do when David is around.

Before we left for our 2 trips we had some friends over for a cookout. One family has triplets and another family has twins. We also had over some other adults as well. It was a full house but oh so fun! 3+2+1=a fun but loud evening at our home tonight. Loved having the Womack triplets and Williams twins plus families over for dinner tonight. Can't wait to watch these 6 grow up together. Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled
Took the kids to the park the other day and the boys spent majority of the time collecting sticks and making a "wall" with them.  They also wanted to be pilots on this day as well.

Austin learned to ride his bike without training wheels this weekend.  We have been practicing for the last few weeks but he really got it on Sunday.  I am so proud of this big boy!

This video is from a couple weeks ago at the cousins house.  Austin's cousin Olivia can ride without training wheels so that is what motivated him to try.  Obviously daddy is a lot better at teaching him than me.  I let him run directly into the prickly bushes (he says bee bush because that is where a lot of bees live when the flowers bloom in the Spring).  After he ran into the bushes I then died laughing instead of helping him.

Just a little recap of life around here.   Hoping to post our recents trips soon.

Aunt Deborah's pictures

Aunt Deborah is a wonderful photographer and took some precious pictures when she was here a couple weeks ago.  She just sent them to me so I thought I would share a few.

If you don't know already, my boys LOVE donuts and they especially love when their grandparents meet them for donuts on a Saturday morning.

Just love this picture.  I will cherish it because this will remind me of age 4 with Austin.  He loves legos!

Life lately

Some pictures of life lately.

I looked over from cooking the other day and saw my sweet boy playing with his baby sister.  LOVED seeing him loving on her.  She adores him.

We met our BFF's at the playground the other day. Sweet, sweet girls! Truly can't wait to watch them grow up together.
BFF's!!! @halleywilliams
I posted this one on Instagram with the quote 'Life with boys. One chose to pee on a tree in the yard instead of the perfectly good toilet in our house and the other one wears a flashlight on his hat in case of emergency.'  There is something special about little boys.

Her first bow.  I am totally smitten with this little girl.  Can't wait for many more bows in her hair.
Her first bow! I'm smitten!
I was uploading pictures from my phone to the computer and found these.  I laughed out loud at her...just laid back straight chillin.

Here's a video to show that she did enjoy her pool and she has a big brother that just loves her.
Another video that reminds me of a little dove. I love her little sounds.

View of life lately...

Life for the boys lately consists of a LOT of legos!  They love them and spend majority of their time building new things with the legos.
Untitled
Mommy actually built this one for Miller.  I think building legos is actually a stress reliever for me.  I really enjoy sitting down building new things with them. Untitled
As you can tell, it often looks like a bomb has gone off in our house while they are playing with legos.  I haven't figured out the best way for the boys to play with them when Maggie becomes mobile.  Any ideas?  I like the boys still being close to me so enjoy them playing in the den but I don't want her getting to them.
Untitled
Gigi babysat the other night and did a craft with the boys. I thought it was very enlightening to see the way they both decorated their butterflies. Austin's is the symmetrical one and Miller's is the one with tons on there. It is definitely a resemblance to their personalities and birth order. Untitled
David and I went on a date to Live at the Garden with some friends.  It was a perfect night.  The weather was amazing, the company was wonderful, the concert was fun, and I LOVED having quality time with David.  Truly a great night! On a date with this hottie!
Untitled
I once again have 2 kids with sicknesses. Miller is getting over a respiratory infection and Maggie is (hopefully) getting over a double ear infection. We truly can't get well. It has been a rough few weeks with sickness for us. I took Miller on Thursday to the doctor and afterwards we went and found daddy. David was in surgery when we first showed up so we waited on him to finish. He brought Miller a surgeon cap and Miller was pretty proud to wear it. He kept telling me afterwards that he was going to be a surgeon when he was older like daddy. Such a treat to see daddy after our trip to the doctor. Miller is not feeling well so this helped brighten his spirits. #futuresurgeon
Happy Monday!

Life lately...

Just a few things going around the Spence household...

We bought a van and I am in love!  I wish I hadn't waited so long to get one.  It is the best!  I know my high school girls are dying but I couldn't be happier.  It truly is the best family car.  Everything is at your fingertips and makes life with 3 so much easier.  The car salesman told me getting a black one made me cool but I reminded him that I lost my cool factor 4 kids and a lot of weight ago. =)
It happened! #myhighschoolgirlsaredying #bestthingever
Austin started private swim lessons at the Dive Shop.  We decided with his highly distractable attention span that private lessons would be for the best.  He has gone twice and has done great.  I have Miller and Maggie with me for each lesson so I shouldn't be tempted to throw Austin in after this one. =) My little fish. Started swim lessons today. #hardforthisteachertoobserve
I've spent a lot of time kissing on these cheeks and getting my girl to smile. Truly melts my heart. Where my girl likes to be. #hugemommasgirl #illtakeit Love when she smiles. #makesthelongnightsworthit
I made my wreaths the other day. Not quite as cute as the ones on the blog but I like them. I'm ready for Spring.
Maybe if I put our Spring wreaths up the weather will stay warm! #readyforspring
This little one makes me laugh constantly.  I asked him to put his clothes on and he pulled his pants up as high as they could go and walked around the house singing. Untitled Untitled
The last few are videos of Austin singing "This is the Day".  Miller tried to join in on one of the videos but he doesn't know the words.  Sweet Maggie was just content as can be listening to them sing.
This is the day the Lord has made...I will rejoice and be glad in it!  Enjoy the day the Lord has made!

Playing outside

I don't know about you but when the sun is shining and my boys can play outside, life seems sweeter.  They need to run, jump, and play outside almost daily so I am thankful for the sunshine we have had in the last couple weeks.  We have taken full advantage of each sunny day.
