Kate, Carter, and Kennedy came over the other day to play in our backyard. We have a tiny baby pool but somehow Kate, Carter, and Austin fit. We are so lucky to have such wonderful neighbors who have kids Austin's age.

quick clean-up

Austin got into some stuff in the middle of the day so instead of getting a full bath, David gave him a mini bath in the sink. I can't believe how big he looks.

Having fun

Some pictures to document the things we did yesterday.

We woke up and played in our pj's. He was playing with his big dog and then proceeded to crawl under the drying rack and next thing I know, it falls with him right between it. Instead of helping him, I grabbed the camera. He was fine though.

We then went to the zoo with Whit. It was such a beautiful day that we couldn't pass up the invitation to hang out with friends at the zoo.

We then came home to eat pasta. You can tell he liked it.

He was wiping it all over his body and just giggling.

Then it was time to take a bath and go to bed.

I am so blessed to stay home with this little guy everyday.

breathing treatments

I took these photos last night when David was giving Austin his 9:00 breathing treatment. Both my boys were asleep when I first checked in on them. He has to wear a mask and be hooked up to a machine for 20-30 minutes (depending on the medicines he is getting). His wheezing is getting better but he is still very congested. It is so hard seeing your baby not feel well.

pictures of Austin and Pops together.

*Austin is doing better. We are now doing the breathing treatments 2 times a day instead of 6. He still has a lot of congestion but is not wheezing like he was. Thanks for the prayers.

Pictures from the ER

Look at my sweet baby in his hospital gown. They were rolling him to Radiology for a chest xray when David took these pictures. They put him in this terrible contraption to take a chest xray. He hated it!

Thank you for your sweet comments and prayers. He is doing a little better but really struggling with sleep. The steroids and albuterol he is on are making him jittery. I would appreciate your continued prayers for sleep.

Please pray for Austin. He started wheezing yesterday morning so I took him to the doctor and they gave him a breathing treatment in the office. They then gave me a breathing treatment machine to do with him at home. We did two treatments at home and he was getting worse so we took him to the ER last night. It was very hard on me going back to LeBonheur and seeing my little boy hooked up to machines and getting so upset. We were there for 3 hours getting more intense breathing treatments and a chest x-ray. They sent us home with instructions to do treatments every 4 hours around the clock so I took 1:00 am and David took 5:00 am. He hates the treatments and having to sit still for 30 minutes. He sounds better than he did last night but still not great. Please pray for our little guy to get better.

I went back to the Botanic Gardens with Austin yesterday and he loved it. I forgot my camera but Jennie took a couple pictures with Austin in them.

My Big Backyard

David and I had heard the hype about "My Big Backyard" at Botanic Gardens so we decided to go check it out on Wednesday. It really is amazing. I am thrilled Memphis has something like this for families. I look forward to watching Austin enjoy it more each year.

My friend Halley and I teach a bible study to Sophomore girls and last week we took them to one of the girl's lake house for the night. We had a wonderful time spending time together and staying up WAY to late for this mommy.

weekend with Pops and Sheryl

Last weekend my dad and his girlfriend, Sheryl, came in town. We had a wonderful weekend. They helped us around the house, worked in the yard, painted cabinets, and spent a lot of time with Austin. Austin loved seeing them and can't wait to see them again! Thank you Daddy and Sheryl for coming to visit and for the new carseat. Austin loves his big boy carseat.

Uncle Ryan (David's brother) came in town last weekend for a job in Memphis and Austin was so excited to meet him.

You can somewhat see the mark on his nose from where he hit the coffee table.
