Comfort and Joy

I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will
give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

11 months

Maggie turned 11 months on November 27th.  I can't believe she is less than a month from being a year old.  This year has flown by with her.  Month 10 was another fun month with her.  She is still so busy.  She isn't walking yet but will hold your hands and take some steps.  She is also letting go of the table and moving to the couch and back again.  She now has 7 teeth.  4 on top and 3 on the bottom.  She is saying more words and repeats a lot of sounds we make.  She is eating  all finger foods and is willing to try most things sometimes being the best eater of our 3 kids.  She still naps twice a day but but we have to be careful to not let her nap for too long in the mornings or she won't want to take an afternoon nap.  She still sleeps great at night.  She is pretty independent and will play nicely by herself for a little while.  I have to keep a close eye on her because she puts everything in her mouth but she doesn't have to be entertained all the time which is great.  She is still the happiest baby I have ever been around.  She smiles and laughs constantly.

Things she loves:

-her brothers!!!
-her brothers toys-her daddy and mommy
-her own voice
-faces
-smiles from others
-bath time
-crawling
-pulling up
-standing on her own
-cruising
-her fingers
-food
-lovie
-sleep
-hands
-feet

Things she doesn't love:

-when everyone leaves the room
-teething
-getting her diaper changed
-getting in the car seat (once she's in it she usually is ok)
-getting her out of the bathtub

She weighs 22 lbs now.

She was very hard to take pictures of because she is constantly on the move.  It took all 3 of us (the boys and I) to get these pictures.  I would set her down at the same time they would throw the 11 on her and then I would grab the camera to start shooting.  This took us 4 times to get any pictures of her on the lamb.

Five for Friday

1.  I went to the most amazing concert I have ever been to on Monday night.  I will blog more about it later but it was incredible! Best concert ever!!! #jt
Can you guess who it was?

2. I made these for our annual lake weekend! I found the recipe in a magazine and took a picture of it and decided to try them. Who doesn't love cookies with a rolo inside?!? Untitled Untitled

3. Last weekend was perfect! My 4 best friends from college and their husbands head to the lake for an annual weekend away. We stayed in our pj's and slippers all day on Saturday and literally moved from the fire to the table to eat and then back again. It was a perfect way to spend a weekend. There is nothing quite like being with friends who have known you 15 years and love you just the way you are. Living the life at the lake...still in our pj's, under a blanket, and enjoying life with my 4 best friends from college. @ebwinterburn @kaceemcguigan @jenniebrooks23 @ashleyculwheatley There is nothing like good friends who have known and loved you for 15 years. #sothankful #goodformysoul 5259967f-626b-4564-bd50-379e9926ea5a

4.  This one dressed up like a cowboy at storytime on Thursday and had me in stitches.  He is so funny!

5. This one is into everything.  One of her favorite places to play is the bathroom.  (I also took a picture because it cracks me up when her ear sticks out of her hat.)
*I also know my bathroom wallpaper is a little "loud" and not my taste...we have plans to redo it in 2 weeks.  I am ready for something more my style (nothing against anyone who likes this wallpaper...it's just not my favorite).

Happy Friday friends!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Florida trip

The day after David and I returned from Boston I took the kids by myself to Orlando, Florida.  My dad and stepmom live there and my grandmother was staying with them for a little over a month.  My Maggie is named after my grandmother Maggie.  They are both named Marguerite but both go by Maggie.  My grandma had not met Maggie and I wanted them to meet and for my grandmother to see my boys again since they were older.  I knew it would be tough flying by myself but would be worth it to see my grandmother and it was definitely worth it.
Flying solo with 3 kids...prayers would be greatly appreciated.
We took up quite a bit of space waiting on the plane to land at Memphis airport. Untitled
As I said...so worth it to capture this photo. My grandmother LOVED seeing all 3 of my children. Marguerite meet Marguerite. Worth the solo flight with 3 kids to see my beautiful grandmother meet my precious daughter. #tearsofjoy
They were smitten with each other!

Seeing my 3 children with the most influential person in my life are memories I will cherish forever! Memories I will cherish forever! So thankful they are getting to know the most influential person in my life.
Sheryl, my stepmother bought the boys some fun toys to play with and they had a lot of fun playing with the gum lips.

The boys and I went on a couple walks while Maggie was napping. We enjoyed seeing the animals that would come to greet us.
