a few firsts

Miller had his first bottle from his daddy the other night.  He did great taking it and then went back to nursing really well afterwards.

I took the boys to church yesterday for the first time. Daddy was working so I thought I could handle it by myself. Miller decided he needed to eat an hour earlier than usual so I fed him in the chapel during the service. He was extremely noisy and then proceeded to wail as we were leaving the building. My nerves were shot by the time I got home. Austin was sweet as could be though. He is really starting to be a great little helper.

adventures with Uncle Toph

My oldest brother Christoph flew in from New York to help with the boys.  Austin had the BEST time with his uncle.  They had a different adventure each day.

Some days they would play inside on all his toys (Most of the pictures were taken on my brothers i-phone)

Sometimes they just switched hats for fun


They went to Austin's very first movie (and he lasted through the whole thing)


They went to the zoo and played on the playground there

They went to Davis Kidd for Storytime and played with the trains and kitchen

Thank you Christoph for spending time with your nephews.  I know they will never forget the love and attention you show them.  I love you and I am very thankful for you.

Updating the blog has become quite a difficult thing with 2 little ones running around. Here are some new pics of Miller with his eyes open. He is such a sweetheart.

double stroller

We took our first stroller ride in our new double stroller.  It was quite an adventure because as soon as I put both boys in the stroller, I realized that all 3 tires were flat.  It took me quite some time to figure out how to work the tire compresser but I finally got it to work and we were off on our walk.  The boys loved it and I loved being able to get out with both of them.

We have tried to get a picture of Austin holding Miller but he doesn't want anything to do with it.  He did let me take a picture of the 2 of them on the bed next to each other though.  I love the way Miller is looking at Austin.

Austin loves his little house and just recently figured out that it plays music from the little radio.  He loves to dance to the music after he pushes the button.

 

Shout out to my Gigi

Big shout out to our Gigi for coming to help when Miller was born.  She stayed a week and helped a ton.  We miss you Gigi and can't wait to see you again.

Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July from our family to yours.  David is on call all weekend so his parents came over to stay and help with the boys (such a huge help).  We woke up yesterday morning and headed over to Avon Neighborhood Parade.  Austin loved the fire trucks, antique cars, and all the bikes decorated.  Miller enjoye d it as well =)


Today Austin and I headed to a friends house for a little swimming.  It was nice to have some one on one time with my little guy.

Glo-Worm

Our little man, the Glo Worm.  Miller's bilirubin was elevated so home health brought 2 bili rubin blankets to our home.  He has to stay on them around the clock for 36 hours.  Thankfully his number dropped 6 points within 18 hours which made this mommy very happy.  He is currently laying on 1 blanket and has to stay on it until the morning.  I will be thrilled when he has no blankets.  Its hard to snuggle and nurse him with glo blankets wrapped around him.
