Comfort and Joy

I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will
give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

best friends

David and Anne are twins and so close.  When I first met David, I was intimidated by their relationship because they were the best of friends.  I wasn't sure how I would fit in.  Anne was wonderful, she made sure I knew I was important to David, but also to her.  Over the years (11 years since I first met the Spence family), Anne has become one of my best friends. She is someone I look to for advice, laugh with, cry with, and just talk with on a regular basis. We are in the same phase of life with having kids and staying home with them.  She understands the joys and frustrations of raising children.  I love talking to her and hearing stories of Olivia.

I always hoped we would have children at the same time so we could raise them together. Forrest and Olivia would have been 2 months apart and we were so thrilled when we were both pregnant with them because we knew they would be the best of friends.  When we lost Forrest, I was afraid that we wouldn't have children close enough to be friends.  Well, Austin and Olivia are 2 peas in a pod.  They love to see each other and are best buds.  Olivia and Austin are 10 months apart and Austin and Jonathan are 9 months apart.  I look forward to watching our children grow up together and being the best of friends.
