Comfort and Joy

I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will
give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

2nd half of August

Updated with new pictures

I am going to do the rest of August in a few posts.

We landed in Memphis a week before the race.  I unfortunately didn't take many pictures because I was extremely busy with the race.  All of the cousins were in town so my boys were in heaven.  They loved playing every day with their cousins.

Miller took some time to do some cleaning at YaYa's house.

On Friday the Spence/Miller clan along with the Forrest Spence Fund board members and staff headed to Le Bonheur for the Forrest Sibling Playroom Dedication.

Our painter, Elaine, is very talented and did a wonderful job. She painted the pumpkins in the tree as a remembrance of sweet Forrest in his pumpkin hat. I loved it! IMG_3710 IMG_3711
All of the furniture, toys, and supplies are perfect. I loved seeing my boys love the room that their brother inspired.

It was an emotional day but mainly a day filled with joy. IMG_3719 IMG_3723 IMG_3722
The rest of Friday was spent finishing up last minute details for the 5k.  We had to hire someone to bush hog the field next to the event where people would park.  I definitely never thought I would be hiring a bush hogger when we started the Forrest Spence Fund. =)  That afternoon/evening we held packet pick-up and late registration at Fleet Feet. 01 DSC_1337 DSC_1336
Stay tuned for the 5k, travel back to Boston, and more Boston adventures!
