We started on Christmas eve morning with baking a cake for Jesus birthday and cookies for Santa.
That afternoon we went to our church family Christmas eve worship service. Maggie was once again not in the mood for pictures.
The boys were willing to smile for the camera though.
We did get a few family pictures which I am very thankful for.
We woke up bright and early on Christmas morning to enjoy breakfast together as a family and then started opening gifts.
It was the year for legos. The boys were in heaven!
Santa brought Maggie a new kitchen. She loves it!
Uncle Matt helped Santa put the kitchen together the night before. He added a few of his own things to the kitchen.
He enjoyed seeing Maggie enjoy what he put together.
Dingdad, Yaya, Gigi, and Uncle Matt were all there on Christmas morning. Uncle Toph flew in at 3:00.
We stopped opening presents around mid morning and took the boys and Uncle Matt to deliver over 150 childrens books from the Forrest Spence Fund to the kids in-patient at Le Bonheur. It was really special to do this with my family.
After we got home from Le Bonheur we gave the boys their big Santa gift...a John Deere Gator. They LOVE it! It has been so fun watching them enjoy it...they have all kinds of adventures in it and even help some with yard work while driving it around (picking up sticks).
Maggie received a Cozy Coupe from Yaya and Dingdad. She also loves her new car.
We cooked a big Christmas dinner and enjoyed it all together on Christmas night. We wanted Uncle Toph to be a part of the dinner.
Don't judge but we used paper plates...I just didn't want to deal with the cleaning up of nice dishes.
More recaps coming soon.
