Comfort and Joy

I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will
give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

10 months old

Maggie turned 10 months on October 27th.  Month 9 was such a fun month with her.  She is soooo busy.  She loves pulling up on our drawers and pulling everything out.  She is crawling everywhere, pulling up, cruising, and will even stand up from the squat position and stand alone for a while.  She will also take a few steps when you hold her hands.  Her top 4 teeth finally broke through.  She is saying more words and loves to imitate sounds you make like clicking noises.  She is eating almost all finger foods and is willing to try most things.  She will let you know if she doesn't like it though because she just throws in on the ground.  She still naps twice a day and sleeps awesome at night.  She is constantly trying to find her brothers and daddy which makes changing her diaper very difficult because she flips almost immediately.  She is still the happiest baby I have ever been around.  She smiles and laughs constantly.

Things she loves:

-her brothers!!!
-her daddy and mommy
-her own voice
-faces
-smiles from others
-bath time
-crawling
-pulling up
-standing on her own
-her fingers
-food
-lovie
-naps
-hands
-feet

Things she doesn't love:

-when everyone leaves the room
-when no one is paying attention to her
-teething
-getting her diaper changed
-getting in the car seat (once she's in it she usually is ok)

She weighs 20.12 lbs now.

Some pictures of our sweet girl!

Five for Friday

1.  Last week I opened Maggie's sock drawer and saw Forrest's pumpkin socks.  Seeing those socks took me back to those 55 days and how terribly hard but beautiful those days were with him.  Seeing the socks made me ache for him but so thankful for his life and the life of my other 3.  I was reminded all day of the life he lived and how very much he changed my life.
One little thing can take you back in a second. The pumpkin socks did it to me today. Missing my sweet boy terribly.

2. 3+2+1 (+2 wild boys)=a fun but loud evening at our home on Sunday night. We loved having the Womack triplets, Williams twins, and triplets extended family over for dinner. Can't wait to watch these 6 grow up together. \

3.  We watched my moms dog for her last week.  Maggie enjoyed playing in his puppy pads (they were clean).

4. I love having boys...I never know what I am going to see when I come around the corner. A superhero having a heart to heart with his daddy. Untitled

5.  A little tease for Halloween...our family is ready for action! Untitled

Happy Friday friends! Hope you have a great weekend!

Fall Break in Nashville - Part 2

Part 1 of Fall Break in Nashville

On Saturday we loaded up all 6 kids and headed to Gentry's Farm for the morning.  The weather was great and the kids had a blast!  Untitled

Snack time is always a favorite time for everyone as well.

We ran into Kacee's family while we were there.  Loved seeing our 5 together.  Hard to believe we were roommates in college 13 years ago and now we have 6 kids between us.

Fall Break in Nashville - Part 1

We had a blast being in Nashville over Fall Break with our cousins.  All 6 of them are stair stepped in age so they play for the most part really well together.  We have the occasional sadness over someone leaving someone else out but for the most part they do well together.  My boys look forward to going to Nashville for weeks because they just adore their cousins.  We spend a lot of time outside because 6 kids in one house can get a little chaotic so it's nice to go outside and let them run free.
We are L.O.V.I.N.G being at the cousins!!! Untitled Untitled Untitled
My boys LOVE the power jeeps and would ride in them all day if we let them.

Sweet Olivia was such a good helper with Maggie.  The best big cousin!

The little girls enjoyed riding the wagon together.  I look forward to seeing their relationship blossom over the years.

The 3 oldest...for the most part they get along but sometimes there are some tears over toys or games played.  Both of the oldest enjoy being in charge so when they are put together and have to work it out, it sometimes doesn't play out well.  Untitled Untitled Untitled
This is the view I see most often...the 2 little ride on jeeps driving away.

We enjoyed Sweet Cece's one afternoon after picking Olivia up from school.  As my three kids and I were walking up to meet Anne and her three kids I see two people walking towards me.  Right off I realize that I am staring at Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.  They were walking arm in arm away from Sweet Cece's in Green Hills.  Anne was standing up behind them making sure I knew who that was but I had already figured it out.  I told myself to act cool like it was nothing big to see them at the ice cream shop but really wish I had taken a picture and not "acted so cool".

The boys shared a bed and I loved going up at night to see how they were sleeping.  They were often halfway on top of each other.
