Comfort and Joy

I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will
give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

weekend review

We had a fun and lazy last few days.  It was exactly what we needed.

On Friday our friend Stephanie hosted a Valentine's playdate.  The boys love being with their friends and I love hanging out with the momma's.  It was a great way to start a weekend.

There are obviously a lot of boys in our play group. Most playdates include a lot of wrestling, running, and tackling. We have to say, "gentle", at least 50 times. IMG_5899
Here is the newest member of our little friends group. Sweet Poppy. She is so precious and so fun to have a little girl in the mix.

I am getting nervous that we are about to be in the stage where Miller takes his diaper off.  I often find him pulling his diaper down and almost off.  This is during dinner on Friday night.

Yes, he's standing in his chair and not sitting in his highchair.  This is also a new thing that is driving me crazy.  Its very hard to eat dinner with a 19 month old in your lap.

That night we took a bath and got in our pj's early so we could read more books. I love seeing the boys clean and in their pj's. I also love seeing them play and read together.  Austin loves reading books to Miller so here is reading his plane book to him.  IMG_5904 IMG_5906
Saturday was a lazy day.  It started to snow that morning so the boys decided to just stay in and eat breakfast instead of go to the donut shop.  I went running with my girlfriends.  When I got home I changed back into my pj's and we all just took it easy.  We watched a movie, painted, and played with playdoh.

I also found Miller searching for a snack a few times that day. This is one of his favorite places to play.  He loves to turn the light on and off in the fridge.

On Sunday we went to church, out to lunch, home for naps, and then had some friends over for dinner. In the middle of dinner our neighbors above us knocked on our door.  Our water heater had busted and was flooding the basement.  Mind you this was the coldest day.  That morning it was 18 when we went to church.  David had to turn the heat off so our water was C-O-L-D!  I mean freezing cold.  Just washing my face was brutal.  Our landlord called the plumber and we got a brand new water heater Monday morning.

Our Monday mornings include music class which we love.  Both boys have such a love for music so this has been a great addition to our lives.  They love our teacher Michael and all the fun things he is teaching us.  This first picture is during lullaby time.  The boys get a pillow and he plays a lullaby on his guitar.

Austin's buddy William is taking the class with us. This is them playing with the rope and singing and dancing.

Monday afternoon was spent inside playing with playdoh again and throwing the balls.  It has been cold here lately so we are having to come up with fun things to do inside.
