Miller's 3rd birthday - family party

Miller turned 3 on June 22.  I love 3rd birthdays because it is the first birthday that children seem to "get it".  He completely understood that it was a special day and all about him.  We counted down to his big day and talked a lot about his first birthday party.  I LOVED celebrating my sweet boy that weekend.  Such a precious time.

We kicked off the weekend with a family dinner on Friday night.  Gigi, Yaya, and Dingdad joined us for dinner and celebration.  

Miller is not big on sweets so he asked for a cookie cake instead of a regular cake.
We started out with just Miller blowing out his candle. 
Then Austin came in to help.

Then mommy and Austin helped and we finally blew it out.

He was so fun to watch open presents.  He would get so excited about each one.  
The big present was a new Lightning McQueen bike.  

Austin actually received a new bike as well because his was run over by the van.  They now both have bikes and love riding them together.
