*Post below updated. Forgot to add a few pictures from our trip.
On Monday morning we woke up ready to face the day...a little weary from the long night before but both boys were in good spirits and Miller was feeling better so we decided to do one more thing before we caught our train. We packed up, caught a cab, and headed to my brother's to drop off our bags.
We played with Rico (his dog) for a little while and then walked back to Times Square. It was so much nicer because it was much less crowded and about 10 degrees warmer. We walked directly to Toys R Us because we were on a mission...to ride the Ferris Wheel inside Toys R Us.
Austin had seen it the day before but the line was so long that we couldn't ride it. We promised him we would come back and ride it the next day. As we were waiting in line we saw what we thought was going to be our car come around...
and were a little concerned but thankfully the girl in front of us wanted the My Little Pony car and not the mega blocks truck one. We ended up with the one the boys wanted so it worked out great.
My sweet brother ran from floor to floor snapping pictures of us.
We then walked back to Uncle Toph's place, grabbed our bags, caught a cab, and headed for Penn Station. It was a little overwhelming because your track doesn't show up on the board until 10 minutes before the train pulls in and then once it stops, it only stops for maybe 5 minutes. We were flying to make sure we all made it on the train and got the seats we wanted. The trip back was great. The boys were really good, especially since it was during nap time for both of them. We pulled into Back Bay in Boston at 4:45, were home by 5:15, and the boys were in bed asleep by 6:10. Austin didn't even want books read to him because he said he was too tired.
We had a wonderful trip and another great memory with my precious family. I don't know if I will do NYC with small children again but I plan on making a return trip by myself this Spring to visit with my brother. =)
