We woke up Saturday morning to perfect Fall weather so we decided to spend the morning outside enjoying it. We took the train to Newbury Street (awesome shopping) and walked along stopping at a few stores along the way. We then headed to the Boston Gardens and Boston Commons and stopped for playtime at the children's playground.
My children love the Boston Commons Playground. It is a great playground but always so crowded so I enjoyed having 3 extra eyes to watch out for my little guys. Dingdad was on top of it keeping an eye on Austin at all times. He was everywhere. At one point he ran up to David, said "Hi Daddy, bye daddy, I need to go run" and took off running again. I love having boys!
Both of my children crack me up on a daily basis but this one is something else. He is so funny. At the playground he walked over to the stroller, grabbed his snack trap, climbed up on the wall, and sat and ate his snack my himself. He was so proud of himself. He has one of the funniest little personalities. You often find him at our house with his helmet on, a basket on his head, or just making funny faces.
On Saturday night the grandparents watched the boys so we could go on a date to Stephanie's on Newbury. It was delicious and they had already decorated beautifully for Christmas. I loved being alone with my husband enjoying dinner and walking the streets of Boston because the weather was perfect.
Sunday morning we went to church where Austin participated in the Children's Cherub Choir during the offertory. They have been practicing every Sunday during Children's Church for this song. He was hilarious. The song was "We are Marching in the Light of God" and he stood in the back the entire time with his fingers in his mouth and just marched...no singing...just marched. He was so proud of himself though. It was precious.
He's still marching in the back even while all the other kids are leaving the stage =)
After church we decided to walk through Beacon Hill, one of my favorite areas in Boston. If I had unlimited money than I would buy a second home in Beacon Hill. It is beautiful and what I imagined Boston would look like.
We walked through Beacon Hill to the Charles River. I also love the Charles River. Such a beautiful part of Boston.
We ended the walk with daddy carrying both of his boys.
On Sunday night we spent time wearing our new reindeer pj's, reading books, and just being together. It was a perfect end to a perfect week.
