Comfort and Joy

I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will
give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

Trip to Orlando

We decided to join David on his work conference in Orlando last week and it was the best trip.  We had such a wonderful time.  I have told many people that it was the best thing I could do.  Remove myself from distractions of home like Christmas shopping, to do lists, house cleaning, etc and just focus on my children for 6 days.  It was so great.  I have a very hard time relaxing unless I am away from home and this trip was a great mixture of quality time with the boys and some relaxing time during naps and nighttime.  We had a balcony which was such a blessing.  I spent the boys nap time and nighttime out on the balcony reading and it was glorious!  I never read during nap time so it was such a treat.

David was busy with the conference so the boys and I would eat a nice breakfast together, go for a run around the complex, and then either swim or just walk around.  Everyday but one was perfect weather and the one day that was cold we went to Magic Kingdom so it was kinda nice to not be sweating.

The boys loved the kiddie pool because it was just their size.  We spent a lot of time there.

David loved the action shots of these next few pictures. I tell you, this little guy cracks me up. IMG_5339 IMG_5340 IMG_5341 IMG_5343 IMG_5344

A view of our complex from the Disney Boardwalk.  We stayed at the Disney Swan and Dolphin Resort which is nestled between Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Boardwalk. IMG_5361
Some views of the boardwalk. This is where we would do our morning runs. It was really nice to be running in shorts and a t-shirt instead of the layers I am running in Boston. IMG_5362 IMG_5368 IMG_5369 IMG_5366
There was a fountain outside of our hotel that the boys loved watching at night.  It changed colors which they thought was the coolest thing.

Inside of our hotel was a massive Christmas tree made out of Poinsettas with a train going around the bottom. Of course my little guys loved it. We spent some time there everyday.

I love these next 3 pictures. Very sweet brothers.

I had to remind the boys often that the furniture in the lobby was not our furniture and it was not ok to jump on it. Here is Austin taking off his shoes so he can "play" on the furniture. IMG_5392 IMG_5393 IMG_5394
This is already a long post so next post will be of Disney!  Stay tuned...

I love how much you love just being a momma - I can hear it in the way you write about it. Your boys are precious - I could just eat up funny miller and his curls. Don't even know him enough to know if he is even funny but based on his facial expressions I'm thinking he is!

What an awesome family trip! I'm so happy you got to do this! I'm kind of like you. I sometimes like being away from my house so I can just enjoy my kids without the pressures of laundry, errands, etc. Reading during nap time??? Heaven! You're such a great mama!
