I am struggling to get to this blog so I am going to do a quick recap of the last few weeks mainly with pictures.
The cousins came in town for Thanksgiving and the boys loved playing with them. They are each a year or less a part so its part chaos, part so much fun! The kids adore each other which is so fun to observe.
The Sunday after Thanksgiving we picked out our Christmas tree. I wanted a big tree since we have tall ceilings but didn't really think about the fact that an 8 month pregnant lady can't really help get the tree in the house and standing up. It was quite a sight to see my husband putting up an 11 foot tree by himself but he did it. The first night of getting it up and putting the lights on was a nightmare...the boys were exhausted, not having it, and my expectations of it being a perfect night were terribly off so everyone was in a foul mood. In the end we just put them to bed and David put the lights on by himself.
We ended up decorating it the next night and it was definitely a better experience. We made hot cocoa, put on Christmas music, and started decorating. I think the boys put on 3 ornaments each. =)
A little shot of the gigantic belly.

That tree is huge! Way to go David for getting it up solo. Could you be any cuter with your pregnant belly? Totally appreciate the realness in regards to your tree decorating night- I feel like I have wonderful visions of how something is going to go and more often then not--- it doesn't turn out that way. The joys and surprises of motherhood! :)
LOVE the huge tree! our night of putting ours up and stringing lights sounds very similar. it ended up being just hunter doing it. the girls were good with the ornaments the next day, though. i only used about 1/2 our ornaments this year, anticipating not wanting to undecorate much post-christmas. you look great, brittany! the tree really dwarfs you;)
Love the pj pic of all the cousins! Can't wait to see your huge tree!
Whoa! -It takes A LOT of ornaments to fill up an 11 foot tree! I can't wait to see it!
Wow! Love the big tree! "...my expectations of it being a perfect night were terribly off so everyone was in a foul mood." - that sums up so much of my life. So thankful I'm in good company!
