Here are the rest of the pictures from the 1/2 marathon. I can not brag on my husband enough. Not only did he get the boys up, dressed, and in the car but he also saw me on the course 5 times.
I only saw him 4 of the 5 times because I missed them once when they were in the car.
He would navigate the streets of a city he didn't know with tons of the streets being closed, drive to a new spot, get the double BOB stroller out of the car, get the boys out of the car, get them in the stroller, and then walk to a spot where they could see me.
He would then walk them back to the car, load everything and everyone back up and do it all over again. They were always at a great place as well...some where I really needed encouragement.
I saw them at mile 3 in the car, mile 6, 7, 10 and finish line standing outside.
My mom was great too. She helped the boys that morning make a sign to encourage mommy and also helped David with the boys.
I was really hurting from mile 12 to the end and was thrilled to see our precious friends Josh, Kelly, and Addie there to cheer us on. It really helped me finish the last little bit.
The race really was great. The feeling of soreness afterwards...not so great. It is extremely hard to not be able to get up and down and move quickly when you have 2 little boys who want to wrestle, run, and play all day long. Thankful for H2O and advil.
Overall...a great day!
